Leif Green is Event Director for AIDS Walk New York. Under his leadership, AIDS Walk New York raised a record $6.8 million in May 2007 for Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and other benefiting organizations.

In 1985, Leif joined MZA Events as a volunteer for AIDS Walk Los Angeles, the world’s first AIDS Walk. He was then asked to join the MZA Events staff as a Community Organizer. In the ensuing years, Leif moved up to the position of Event Director. He has worked more than 65 events and helped raise more than $100 million for people struggling with HIV and AIDS throughout the United States.

As Creative Director for MZA, Leif is responsible for the artistic vision and design of MZA Events. Leif has been honored for his work and received the Graphic Design West’s award for Best Point-of-Purchase Design in 1996.

Leif also held previous positions as producer.  He worked in animation production at Warner Brothers and the Walt Disney Company on such films as Tarzan, Hercules, Osmosis Jones and Brother Bear 2.

Leif also worked as a professional actor; he appeared on stage, in television, and in film.

As Creative Manager of Special Events, he helped launch Robin Hood Foundation’s “Library Initiative” – a unique partnership in which libraries were brought to elementary schools in low-income neighborhoods of New York City.

In his free time, Leif enjoys ceramics, puppetry, sewing, drawing, painting, and calligraphy.
