                About MZA
Our History
Since 1984, MZA’s innovative approach to fundraising has achieved consistent—and remarkable—results. MZA created the world’s first AIDS Walk (Los Angeles) in 1985. Within 2 years, MZA had also founded AIDS Walk New York and AIDS Walk San Francisco. All three Walks remain incredibly successful at generating millions of dollars and vast public support. Over the years, MZA has also produced, co-produced, or consulted on dozens of events in a variety of other U.S. cities. Confronting the HIV epidemic has always remained central to MZA’s mission. However, MZA has also played a major role in events addressing breast cancer, human rights, homelessness, and other social and political causes about which the company cares deeply.

Our Results
MZA has raised more than $300 million for leading charities and social causes. In 2006 alone, the MZA-produced AIDS Walks in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles each achieved their best results ever. Together, these three AIDS Walks raised $14 million and attracted a collective total of more than 100,000 participants and nearly one million contributors.

Our Methods
MZA’s fundraising model has always emphasized the importance of reaching out to people on a personal level to inspire grassroots activism. For every event we produce, MZA saturates the community with information and a call to action. Widespread marketing and recruitment follow, including—but not limited to—direct mail, phone banking, e-mail, the Web, broadcast and cable television, radio, public canvassing, and outdoor advertising.

Our Goal
Our goal is to promote positive change on a societal level. To that end, we have the proven ability to enlist the support of large numbers of people—elected officials, celebrities and other public figures, large corporations, and most importantly, the public in general—for the causes we promote.

Our Clients
Our clients appreciate MZA’s skill at producing events with integrity, efficiency, and precision. They also recognize our ability to orchestrate all the elements that go into the ultimate success of a campaign. We have organized events at Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, the Jacob Javits Center, and New York’s Central Park. We are equally well suited to manage events at a more intimate location.
